Discovery cove question
My friend is going to discovery cove in July and would like to know if you can wear your wedding ring when you're swimming with the dolphins. My mum said you were but I thought I would get this checked on here.
Thanks! |

Yes you can, but that is the only jewellery allowed in with the Dolphins. You are not allowed to wear watches.
The reason they give is that the dolphins can be interested in shiny things and are trained to knick your Rolex and flog them in downtown Orlando at night. Please don't buy a Rolex from a dolphin, it only encourages them to do it |

When I did this at Seaworld - i.e. before Discovery Cove, they asked you to remove all jewellry and no hats or glasses. I then found it a problem as I am shortsighted and could then not see very far. Unsure if anyone will have the same problem as I did at Discovery Cove.

My wedding ring has diamonds in it, I was told by a friend who had already been that I wouldn't be able to wear it, is this so?

I was allowed to keep all my nose and lip rings in so I don't think they're that strict. I did email them to check first.

Not quite the same but i emailed about wearing glasses and was allowed to in the dolphin encounter as long as i had a lanyard or sports strap holding them on to my head. Which was handy as i cant see a thing without them. I actually too my wedding ring off as it is a bit loose but my DH kept his on.
