Mobile Miami- thunder storm

We have just landed on the 10.40 from heathrow in the middle of a thunderstorm. No bags being offloaded and sitting on floor just waiting... at least we are in the Usa though eh?

When you look at the likely time it will take to get through immigration at the arrival airport, how do you factor in last min thunder storms?

Please tell me, i would love to learn

Another flight which landed after us, has had their luggage as there was a small window to pull off luggage and our plane has missed it! 😫

We were on the same flight. It was weird how flights that came in after us had their baggage unloaded and were on their way. Felt sorry for the member of staff having to deflect all the "has it stopped raining" questions. At one point my wife was talking with her with about 20 or so other passengers gathered listening in.
Best bit was the round of applause when the belt the started and the first bag came through. We were stood next to someone that had all their bags come off in quick succession within a few minutes of the belt starting. It was suggested they go buy a lottery ticket with that good fortune lol

We were also on the same flight and I know what you mean we were very relieved to get here given everything that’s been going on BUT a c3hr wait for bags wasn’t great. Still we did better than our friends who flew Bhx/dub/Mco with Aer Lingus on the same day. The Bhx flight was delayed so they had the immigration landspeed record dash to make their flight. Unfortunately their cases didn’t make it. They were told the cases should be on the next flight out (Saturday!). Saturday came and went but no cases for them and now Aer Lingus don’t seem too sure where they are? Next flight out is Tuesday so our friends are really hoping the cases are found and arrive then. They are fed up shopping for essentials and clothes for their kids. Feel we were very lucky in comparison.
