Last time I went I was a size 22/24, only rides I struggled with were the HP ones. Everything else was fine.

Poor guy! I’d be mortified and would’ve felt terrible for him. I’d definitely be trying the test seats to avoid this!

I'd be embarrassed to try test seats too unless they were a bit private.

I don't understand the calf comments for FOP, how on Earth do they fit you in?

I assume you are joking

I felt a bit like that when I first tried the test seats at Forbidden Journey but honestly although it is situated at the front of the ride, it wasn’t embarrassing at all.

People are too busy doing their own thing, and the CM manning the test seat was so lovely.

ETA: I’ve not done FOP yet but from YouTube videos you straddle the seat with your thighs and calves slotting into the front part of the ride, then the ride restraint comes around the back of your calf and lower back.

Edited at 05:06 PM.

With FOP you are on a bike so a bar comes up from the seat into your lower back and then another one goes round your calves. If you have bigger calves then you need to lift your heels off the floor to change the shape of the mussel. And push yourself onto the bike bit like you are married to it if you are worried about the back bit.

My sister is a similar size and carries her weight in the same way, she struggled at sea world, couldn’t go on Mako at all and struggled with Manta.

I know that on some other Disney rides she was uncomfortable and had bruises from being squeezed in but mostly she was fine.
