Vegas.com was the best for us when we went - some shows they only announce a few months before or even closer. David Copperfield was brilliant - I wasn't bothered about seeing him but my boyfriend really wanted to go and I was blown away. The number of times we both looked at each other with mouths open lol! Vegas.com have a promo code currently (and very often anyway!) FALL25 will get you $25 off $250 if spending that much and FALL50 will get you $50 off $500.
If going to MGM grand for Copperfield we went to Wolfgang pucks after which you could near enough see the theatre from and it was AMAZING. We used a voucher for $25 dollars off food too which made it even nicer. It is walkable however it is quite far... it took us about 15 - 20 minutes from Planet Hollywood which is probably about 15-20 from Flamingo at a comfortable pace so just give yourselves plenty of time. You can get an uber really cheap or the monorail stops at both flamingo and MGM so could always buy a pass for that and use for the day but we found uber easier as sometimes the monorail stations are a bit of a trek through the casinos. If I were you I'd walk there or back via points of interest to you - can pop in Paris or Planet Hollywood etc and tick them off your list.x |

PLANNING UPDATE :-
Well last night I sent my credit card firm into a frenzy - they kept blocking my transactions as I think they thought someone was on a spree First off we booked the House of Blues Gospel brunch for our first full day - if I'm honest I'm not 100% sure on this but its the one request of one of our friends and she's really excited about it. Reviews seem decent enough and the food seems to get decent comment so fingers crossed. Next up for booking was Mat Franco who I am super excited for. We saw him advertised on our last two trips but unfortunately couldn't get tickets for dates we were there and other shows took priority so this time he was a definite! Booked Le Reve using the 15% off voucher code on the Wynn website - really excited about this one too as the trailer looks fantastic. We saw "O" on our last trip which is meant to be fairly similar and did toy with taking our friends to that but we feel we have seen "O" too recently so chose Le Reve instead. We've never been to the Wynn either and the photos look gorgeous so going to have an explore and hopefully see the Lake of Dreams with a cocktail while we are there We also got a groupon ticket for Xavier Mortimer who is at early show that same night - he's at our hotel and I love a bit of magic and for $25 including booking fees can't go far wrong I'm sure! Grand Canyon is booked through Grand-Adventures recommended on a few trippies I've read on here so looking forward to that! We also get a stop at hoover dam which we've not been to before and the Vegas sign for the obligatory photo op. Plan to book "Love" for our last night but ran out of time last night and also I feared my credit card may actually go into full melt down so will do this one at weekend. Had originally planned to get free tickets for this off myvegas rewards however our dates are all black out dates which is a shame. We have seen this before on our 2nd trip but our friends have never seen a Cirque show and we loved it so thats the decision made! Count down is moving a little faster now x |

Hi Joosebug
We are going to Vegas for a few days as part of a road trip and will be there early July, I see you saw Penn and Teller previously and the dates are now out for July - it’s not cheap but is it worth it, and paying extra to be near the front? Also as this is off strip would you Uber it, and is it easy to get an Uber after shows end? Sorry just realised one question turned into several! Thanks

Hello
To pre warn my answer has also turned into an essay! We did enjoy Penn and Teller however I'm not going to lie... we did actually both find ourselves nodding off a bit - not due to the content of the show. The theatre is very very dark and we were really really jet lagged and there is a lot of talking and build up to tricks if that makes sense. I saw them again in Manchester when they came to England and that show was miles better. I would suggest some caffeine before you go The theatre isn't that big - we were towards the front of the balcony bit and that was still really close. You can often get discount tickets on travelzoo so worth keeping an eye. DEFINITELY Uber... we made the mistake of walking in June and we were SO hot - we ended up buying several bottles of water on route off the street vendors - it will be even hotter when you go. It was a lot further away than it looked and quite quiet and Uber is so cheap. We plan to go to the Rio for Kiss Crazy Golf (travelzoo voucher available) when we go and will definitely be getting an Uber. We've seen quite a few magic shows in Vegas and if I'm 100% honest David Copperfield blew Penn and Teller away but different styles of magic. Also we really enjoyed Mac King who is a friend of Penn and Tellers - really cheap afternoon show (can get a total rewards voucher for free ticket if you buy a drink at around $15) so I know slightly off your question but I would recommend those over Penn and Teller. Feel free to ask any questions :-) x |
