Virgin car hire olci

Just booked our car hire with virgin for alamo at orlando international airport. Tried to do online check in but it is not recognizing the booking reference. My booking ref is just 7 numbers as opposed to the 12345/s10 format on the alamo website.
Does anybody know if there is a time limit for the booking to go into the system? Or a time limit on how soon you can check in? And also if the 7 number reference I have received should indeed work? Thanks

I did my Alamo checking as soon as i got my Virgin Holidays ref number (7 digits), at 12+ months.

I dont think there is a time limit as they were helping people do it in the VRoom before we flew last year. Virgin customer service gave me a ref for alamo and that is what I checked in with and had no problems

If you go to Alamo.com\offer\virgin and put in your Virgin ref number it puts you on the right pages for on line check in. I managed mine last week

Didn't't know I could do this, for some reason I thought I had to wait until I received my red envelope. Will try this when I get back from work. When will I be able to do Savetime?

I have entered my seven digit booking reference and my lead passenger surname (multiple times) and it won't recognize them.
