We had this in 2016 with BA, It was a change to our flight times coming home, It was quite a big change, it didn't work for my Daughter as she needed to be back in the UK for a meeting, For us it was brill we got about an extra 5 hours. For my Daughter and her family they moved her to another flight free of charge, Sadly it meant she lost a day of her holiday.

Then in 2018, Virgin changed our flights, They did not notify us, I found it but just logging onto manage my booking. This time it was an earlier time which was great for us, But had I not checked we could of missed the flight.

I think it seems very common for airlines to change there flight times, It would just be better if they let us know

Dont think 2 hours counts as a significant change in airline terms but annoying they didnt tell you
Our return flight this year got changed by 3 hours but va emailed us

Flight times change. Annoying for you getting there later on arrival day.

What's even more annoying is when they have 2 flights a day and move you to the later one - especially if you've paid more to go earlier. Ask to be put back on the original one.

If they've consolidated 2 flights down to one that day it's just hard luck on you. Virgin do this a lot.

Yes got previous confirmation emails etc so presume email is ok.

We flew United last year and had about 8 time changes plus an airport change (we were indirect). But we did book 10 months before flight so they hadn't finalised their summer time table. Changes were only minor.
