My dds 18th ideas?

Next August is my dds 18th Birthday, she wanted to go on a short break somewhere but because of my sons wedding in September this won’t be possible. She said she probably didn’t want a party as people are away in August and won’t come. I thought of a day out or meal out but somewhere really nice, we are near Harrow Middx so anywhere a hours drive or nearer would be great, any ideas?

Would she enjoy an afternoon tea? We took our DD for one to celebrate her A level results and she loved it. We chose a fancy hotel and didn’t tell her in advance, just told her to dress up. It was a very memorable way to celebrate

She would be happy with this as one of her presents, but wants the expensive ones as well. She wanted to go to Punta Cana in The Dominican Republic, I just laughed when she said it! 😂

She would like Afternoon tea but as she’s a steak girl, and would love a good steak restaurant with large potions of food. No good giving my family a steak with three Chips and 2 green beans arranged nicely on the plate!

She likes 'large' portions of food. I am wondering who she takes after

I don’t like steak much, 🤔it’s actually dh who would complain if he didn’t get enough food. My dd doesn’t eat chips but would be happy with a massive steak and two tomato’s on the side. I always have chicken or seafood, she does like a cake like her mother lol 😂

My DH said he didn’t fancy the afternoon tea as he would be starving after it. But I said it was her treat and she would enjoy it so he had to put up with it 😂 However, afterwards he said how full he was and how much he enjoyed it. We even had to have some cakes boxed up to bring home as there was so much.

Obviously if your daughter would prefer a good steak meal, it’s not the same but it was far more filling than we expected it to be
