Then it looks like you live in an area with poor takeaway restaurants.
Nowadays, ready meals can be kept on the supermarket shelves for up to a year. foodmanufacture/Ar...or-ready-meals dailymail/news/art...-launched.html I'd hope that the takeaway restaurants were cooking their meals on the day, albeit perhaps with sauces prepared several days beforehand.

I'd wager those 'long-life' meals aren't what MH was referring to. I didn't even know you could buy ready meals kept on supermarket shelves rather than in fridges.

I find take aways are better from restaurants rather than stand alone take away places. You pay a bit more but the food tends to be much better.
We have a very good Indian restaurant near us and they offer 15% off for take aways, they’re always busy with both orders and people eating in. |

MH make a curry at home, fry ginger, garlic, a couple of spoons of curry powder, salt and chicken and add a bottle of curry sauce, Balti or Dopiaza curry sauce. Add a few spoons of tomato purée and simmer, add a bit of water if it’s too thick or cornflour if it’s too watery and simmer for 20 mins, you can buy pilau rice or boil it at home. It’s so easy. It’s not a authentic curry but it tastes good

MH stop being SAD, Mrs MH will love you for it! Dim the lights and light a few candles and put on a bit of Sade in the background.
