Some fun days out / overnight stay suggestions
I know, like alot of us, I have been obsessing about trips abroad for some time now but for my own mental health I think i'm going to plan some days out / short breaks away in the UK (we've got center parcs coming up too but just want to make the most of the summer before the irreversible potentially becomes reversible!)
Does anyone have any suggestions for any fun family days out or even interesting towns / cities for an overnight stay. Was looking at Chatsworth house in Derbyshire but does anyone know what that's like and whether it's suitable for kids age 9 and 12? Here's a couple of things we did over the last couple of years which turned out to be really lovely trips (just incase this is helpful to anyone): Booked a premier inn in Shrewsbury center and took the Sabrina boat tour and also did the Prison escape room and tour which was really interesting! We booked a hotel in Halifax town center and went to Piece Hall and Galactic golf. We went to Manley Mere (this was brilliant) and Delamere Forest. Crocky trail in Chester Chocolate story and castle museum in York Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Our family favourites are:
Highland Wildlife Park in Scotland (a bit of a trek to get there but if staying a few days somewhere then well worth a visit) Edingburgh Zoo (and Edinburgh city) Chester Zoo (and Chester, especially to eat in Hickory's Smokehouse)

We loved Warwick Castle could combine with Bosworth or Stratford upon Avon if anyone’s into history
We’ve done glamping at Warwick but also stayed at the Premier Inn. Lovely Area. |

Love Hickory's! Thank you! These sound brilliant.
Thank you! I've always fancied Stratford upon Avon
