Thomson Premium questions...

Hi! We're flying out 4 weeks today but I have a couple of q's about the flight.

Were flying from Birmingham with Thomson in Premium Economy. Ive read somewhere about people getting put back in economy if its a First Choice plane? (or something like that! Not sure if its just me being a div ) Would someone mind clarifying this? Whats the seat configuration for PE on these planes?
I am still waiting for Thomson to email through my booking info even though ive called up to ask for it again twice and they said they would send it so I can select what seats were in, but alas I still dont have it!

Also, ive also read that flying PE includes entry to the lounge at Sandford however when I asked about it when booking over the phone the guy I spoke to said it doesnt include any lounge access? Please could someone clarify this too?!

Hi. We upgraded to premium last year. I was pretty sure from posts on here that lounge access was included. I declined to pay the extra when we upgraded and decided to just ask on the day. (They have a list of premium passengers at reception.). Sure enough we were on the list. We got in no problem.

We'd pd for the lounge in previous years so knew what it offered. I'd decided we'd pay on the day if the flight was delayed.

I'd be interested to know if anyone has ever been turned away. But that was our experience last August.

Ps we didn't have a voucher with our paperwork.

Hi, we're flying in June. Originally on the Dreamliner but Thomson have confirmed there is enough PE seats for all passengers on all flights and no one is getting bumped to economy. There is a really long thread on the Dreamliner saga, which clarifies this, plus i also spoke to them directly and they confirmed it again.

To answer your other qu, on EX FC planes, the seating is 2 3 2 in premium. First row has screens in arm rest o a bir narrower. Nice noise reducing headphones! 9 rows.

Is ths fewer rows than the Dreamliner? We have bargain flights with Delta this year. The 4 of us are flying for the price of one economy seat with Thomson from our local airport. But last year's flight was good, and would be my pref if the price stacked up again.

In answer to your question about the royal palm lounge Sanford, I don't think Thompson actually know!

I flew pe with Thomson last year and pre booked the lounge. Did a bit of research when I got home and thought they had charged me for something that was included on premium flights. I must have made six or seven calls to Thompson and was told different things each time.

I finally received a written response and a refund for the payment for lounge so am taking this as confirmation that if you fly pe you automatically have access!

I'm flying again with them in under two weeks and have not booked lounge. Am planning to show my pe tickets when we arrive and believe I will be let in.

Guess I will find out soon enough...

Thomson planes have only 5 rows of PE.

So if you booked onto a FC plane on rows 6 to 9 and then the plane gets changed to Thomson, you'll find 4 rows of people don't get the PE cabin. Rumour has it that if you've booked rows 1 to 5 then that where you stay and the others get put into economy, but with PE meals/drinks etc.

Ex FCA have 9 rows PE, ex TOM have 5. In the event of an aircraft change from ex FCA to ex TOM some PE passengers get bumped to economy. This is supposed to be done by booking date, not row number.
