If we don't manage to get off the ship it won't be the end of the world. It will just be great to be on a holiday at all at this point to be honest! My biggest concern now is one of us testing positive but hopefully it will be fine!

I feel exactly the same. Not looking forward to the wait for the test result to come through 😩

3 out of the 4 of us in my family have currently got covid so I don’t know whether that is good for future PCRS or could cause problems.
Can I ask if any of you have seen any offers for the drinks packages. They just seem so steep. Sorry I put up the original post and I didn’t realise anybody had replied.

I know nothing about the PCR tests but I was looking into it the other day as we were waiting for some results and we’re self isolating. I read that you can keep testing positive for quite a long time but from the studies I was looking at it was rarer so I wouldn’t worry too much.
The best prices we saw for the deluxe drink packages were very early on… £44. Since then they seem to have bounced between £48 and £54. Speciality restaurant prices seemed to have stayed pretty static as have the soda packages. All the extra little things like decorations, towels gifts etc have only gone up since the start.

I just know it will be me still testing positive weeks later!
I’m going to keep checking the drinks packages then. May end up with the upgraded soft drinks package and then pay out of pocket for extras. We haven’t booked anything yet (only booked cruise this week). Wanted to keep it a secret from the kids but now I’ve realised that the Disney magic will be in port at the same time as we board so they might actually set their heart on that instead! Will be following Debssc1 to see how the 1st August goes.

We are booked on the 8 nighter on August 7th. Booked our PCR tests yesterday and some excursions as we also read about not being able to get off otherwise. If that changes in the next 2 weeks I can always cancel some of them!

The drinks packages seem to have come down in price over the last few days, at least for my cruise. This morning the ultimate package is £47.88 when it was £54.72 before. Also the internet packages have dropped too, the surf and stream is £12.15 for one device and £21.65 for two.

Thanks for the heads up. Prices for 23rd Aug have dropped to the same too. I had been considering making the kids go without the internet 😂 but I have just caved. I’ve cancelled their soda packages and rebooked the packages with internet each. Saved me a whole extra tenner on booking them separately 😂

I booked the photo package for slightly less (£91).
Still can’t decide on the drinks package. We’ve always had free drinks packages in the past so am finding hard to decide if worth it. We don’t really drink at home nowadays but would like a few drinks during the holiday. Just don’t want the pressure to feel like I have to have so many drinks a day or I’m not getting my money’s worth!

I haven't booked a package, I'm not a big drinker so I think I will just buy the odd cocktail or G&T OOP when I fancy it. I can't imagine I will spend anywhere near the £287 it would cost for the package. I think I might take a bottle of wine too for the stateroom, that will probably last me all week
