Thinking of giving up my dslr...
As with the baby I can't really lug it and all the lenses around. I'll go back to it as he gets older.
In the meantime, can anyone recommend a camera that has some degree of controls (aperture, shutter speed etc) but one that I can also use for grabbing a quick snap shot? |

Most point and shoots like the Sony RX series and the Canon G series are small enough to fit in a pocket, but also have a function dial with the familiar AV/TV/M and Full Auto modes for choosing between whether you need snapshots or controls. There are also many cameras without the dial that will mostly still have a full manual mode, it just may be enabled through a menu instead of a dial. It's quite a common feature even on low end point and shoots.
