Freezing wine in an ice cube tray for cooking

Trying out saving leftover white wine (not nice stuff obviously) by freezing it in an ice cube tray to use in cooking later. Madness or genius? I've looked it up and it is a thing but it also looks like someone has urinated in an ice cube tray. Hopefully the cleaner doesn't nose in the freezer when we're out

😀 knew I had that coming, drink most things but not white wine if it can be avoided

If you use those disposable ice cube bags it's easier. The wine doesn't freeze completely solid, so it's a bit messy trying to get individual cubes out of ice cube trays.

When "The Girls" are round for a gossip they like their drinks chilled but not watered down with ice. So I freeze grapes instead of using ice cubes .They have NEVER ever heard of left over wine. And are willing to give you pointers in what you clearly are doing wrong.
