Taxi companies from Belfast Airport

Thought I’d ask the ever helpful Dibbers.

My 17yo DS will be travelling to Belfast to get a J1 visa to work in the USA in the summer. Can anyone recommend a taxi company he could call at the airport that will take him to the embassy?

He’s travelling alone so want to make it as easy as possible for him.

Heaven help the boy own his own for 8 weeks in America. Hoping this experience makes him more responsible!

What airport is he flying to?

There's airport taxis at the doors after every flight at each airport. There's also an airport bus from the international

There was a stand at Belfast City but it is also easy to get a bus into town and much cheaper

Which airport is he flying in to?
Belfast International is almost 20 miles from city centre so a taxi would probably be costly. Translink run very frequent buses into the city centre but the drop off is still about 2 miles away from the consulate so would have to get a different bus or taxi or even walk.
If you definitely want a taxi for him I'd use belfastairporttaxis
Belfast City Airport is much close to the city centre. I'd use valuecabs for this journey.

Both airports have taxi ranks. Or call someone like ValueCabs 028 90809080 (this is who I use).
For a one off I would just use the taxi rank

Thanks everyone. It’s Belfast City he’ll go to. Thinking a taxi will be easier than trying to figure out where to get off the bus?

I agree with others Mrs mouse- think valuecabs is the best option for your son. Think they have designated pickup point at airport exit so wouldn't be hard to find . Belfast city is not a big airport so things should smoothly enough

Belfast city is a really easy airport to navigate. We have always just used the rank outside to get into the city.
