Presidents day
Hello newbie here!
I’m looking to visit Disney on President day & stay that week. I was just wondering how busy it will be? Many thanks in advance. |

Welcome
According to the Busy Day Guide Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are the two to avoid on that date. President's Day is the first day of our holiday and we're going to Discovery Cove to avoid the crowds

We were there last year on Presidents' Day but spent the weekend and the Monday at Universal parks. They were really busy, busier than we had seen them previously at Easter or in August. Even the lines to get in for early entry in the morning were long, and we experienced long waits for rides even with Express Pass. With our Express Passes, we waited 30 minutes for ET (!) on the Sunday and 45 for Kong on the Monday (the posted standby was 75 minutes.) We were also quoted about a 45 minute wait for the Hippogriff at about 6.30 pm on the Monday with the standby wait posted at 80 minutes. CityWalk restaurants were also very busy, and a few weeks before when I tried to make a few reservations as I have previously, there was less availability and on the Monday I had to settle for mid-afternoon as lunch and dinner were already fully booked.
We did the Disney parks from Tuesday to Saturday and it was only really Friday and Saturday that it felt a little quieter. Animal Kingdom on the Tuesday, Hollywood Studios on the Wednesday and Magic Kingdom on the Thursday were as busy as we had ever seen them on previous trips and in some cases more crowded. So the few days after Presidents' Day were certainly still busy. We did hear a few people talking about how the extreme snow and bad weather in the North East had led them to extend their stay in Florida so I don't know if it was slightly different last year because of that. We are returning this year for the same week and are only doing the Universal parks which we're going to visit in the second half of the week. We're hoping the parks will be quieter by the Wednesday. Fingers crossed last year was just a one-off.
