Alamo Miami

Hi, i've done a search but can't find what i'm looking for. I know this gets done to death. I have seen the stuff about Alamo in Orlando.

I've booked a ffar full size 7 seater suv from Miami airport (to return there too). I've pre paid for the hire through a 3rd party and also for a tank of fuel.

I've sat down and gone through Alamo savetime and got the print out with a barcode, however, and my query is

The information on my confirmation states that after getting the monorail to the rental office, i have to go to the desk on the right hand side? Nothing about going straight to the garage?

Is this possible in Miami or is that an orlando thing only?

I'm actually wondering what the point of doing the savetime is, if i still have to queue at the desks.

At MCO some people have gone to the garage with a barcode and it has been accepted. Up to you if you want to take the chance on not being directed back to the desk.

Miami Airport has a dedicated newly built car rental building.The design is such that you go to the desk and complete the paperwork,then go to the garage to pick up the car

You CAN go straight to the garage if you have done OLCI - we did it last year.

Exactly the same as in Orlando.

Not sure I can do the OLCI as well, I've booked through a broker. I've done savetime.

Have to try and see.

In MIA there is a right ole track to the car hire centre. Monorail and a lot of walking.
You have to go to the desk.
Savetime does exactly what it says - saves a bit if time at the desk as they have your info already.
