DisneyAL - 13 Nights at Coronado Springs - Travel Day
04/03/2020 - Travel Day
Firstly we will briefly introduce ourselves. A a 24 year old female and L a 25 year old male, an engaged couple. Having traveled to the Premier Inn North at Manchester Airport the afternoon before after half a days work, we woke up at 5am excited for the day ahead. This is our third visit to Florida together filled with new experiences. We have never stayed at this hotel before but were allocated a great room. Top floor room 616, with as good a view of the airport as you can get from here to keep L happy. We headed over to the T2 meet and greet parking and arrived at 7am to drop the car off before checking in for out 10:40 flight VS75. Having only ever flown with TUI before, both Virgin Atlantic and Orlando airport were new experiences for us. Checkin for the flight was completely empty with us going straight to the front of the queue. We were checked in, through security and in the V-Room within 20 minutes. The V-Room exceeded all expectations and we would never hesitate to book this again in the future. For breakfast, A had a a full breakfast and L had a sausage sandwich. Before we knew it, it was time to walk all the way round to the end gate (A12) to board G-VAST ladybird. We paid to sit in the bubble and thought these seats were great with the extra space. The flight was fantastic. Excellent staff, a good choice of entertainment and the best plane food either of us have ever had. We'd heard horror stories of MCO's wait times and when we saw the Gatwick flight had beaten us there as we arrived at the gate we prepared for the worst but we were through the airport and on the Magical express within an hour. On arrival at Coronado Springs, checkin was very busy but the staff were excellent. When we got to the desk, Denise noticed that our previous room request had not been granted, without any prompt at all from us she made a phone call and within 10 minutes we had a perfect corner ground floor room in Cabanas 8B with a view of the lake, next to the pool and laundry facilities. We were blown away by this room. A quick unpack and then on the bus to Hollywood Studios for a Toy Story Mania FastPass with the most even score I have ever seen. We also had a FastPass for Fantasmic but we were hungry and tired so went to Rosie's All-American Cafe for some Disney nuggets instead and went back to the room to bed. The best travel day we have ever had now onto Magic Kingdom tomorrow. |

It's great to head into a park on the first night. Exhausting but great fun!

Sounds like a great first day. We’re hoping to book CSR next year (2 adults and 1 teen) so will be interested in more feedback on the resort!

That sounds like one of the smoothest, most hassle free travel day reports I've ever read. Looking forward to reading more of your report.
