Changeover between Disney, Universal & the beach

Hi, looking for some advice please.

We have a 3-centre holiday planned (seemed like a good idea at the time); 7 nights in Coronado Springs, 5 nights in Cabana Bay Beach in Universal and 3 nights in St Pete’s on the coast. I’m trying to work out the best plans for the days when we change between them.

We pick our hire car up at 11am on our last day in Disney but can’t check into CBB until 4pm – do we either delay the car pickup or park it up to stay around Disney until later to maximise out time there, or hot-tail it to Universal, park the car and make use of our time there? We have Discovery Cove booked whilst we’re there and also want to do SeaWorld but haven’t started planning for that part of the holiday as we’re trying to sort out Disney plans as the Fastpass window for us opens in 2 weeks (eek). I’ll probably come back for people’s views and advice on that later.

Similarly, when we check out of CBB at 11am, we can’t check into our hotel in St Pete’s until 4pm, although a chunk of the time in between will be driving there.

Any suggestions please as to how best to plan?

Head over to cabana when ready. Your room might be ready. If not dump stuff with bell services and head to the park.

Hi, we arranged it through Ocean Florida. Speak to Alex, he was great - just told him what we wanted to do and he came back with suggestions, several times as we changed our minds (quite) a bit. He couldn't have been more helpful. Happy planning.

Only 63 days until we go!

We are doing a very similar 3 centre stay to you. We're 10 days at Disney - POR, then to St Pete's beach for 6 nights, then 5 nights at Royal Pacific Resort. We did very similar 2 years ago but shorter stays in each. We find that the beach stay in the middle made the Disney universal parts feel like 2 separate holidays and stopped us getting 'parked' out. When we drive to RPR from the beach we were too early for check-in, so we parked the car, left all luggage with bell services, got temp key cards from reception, got our express passes printed and went straight to the parks. It's not a problem at all getting to the hotels early, they just look after all your stuff for you. Have a great time.

We have 7 nights AKL and then onto beach, Guy Harvey, then back to HRH. We are picking car up from Disney car centre at 7am on our last day, breakfast at Boma and then hoping to hit our favourite rides again. Leaving for beach maybe 3pm. When we leave beach we will leave early am, maybe about 7am, leave luggage with bell services and go to IOA

Not sure if I have missed something, but if you are staying onsite at disney, surely your fastpass would have opened up at 60 days, but your timeline says you have 44 days. Just wanted to check you haven't missed them!

Yes I was just thinking the same. OP - you also say you are going in 63 days (not the 44 days showing on your countdown). If you are going in 63 days time - your fast passes open in 3 days not 2 weeks time.

It's OK, we haven't missed them. My original post was just before our 60-day window opened. We've now got our fastpasses booked, more or less as we wanted them, as we were ready and waiting at 12noon on the day they opened up. Sorry for any confusion and thanks for checking.
