It was breezy yesterday here in North Wales and the wind started getting stronger last night.
It's been very windy all night and still is plus it's absolutely pouring down.

Seems pretty calm in Northumberland at the moment.

I am on a girlie weekend away near Bala and it’s horrendous weather, have had thunder and lightning mixed in. Meant to travel home later to Manchester!

Here in London at around 3am I scared the windows were going to blow in! It’s really windy and DS is supposed to be going back to uni today as he popped down for the weekend, but I don’t want him going anywhere!

Very Very windy all night here in Suffolk, not actually sure I want to drive my son to his job at a pub this morning, as its down a lot of little country lanes with trees etc... am I being overly worried or should we stay home?

It’s blowing a hooley in Town - been awake for hours (well I do live up in the gods !)
All parks have been closed and I see VS and BA have announced many flight cancellations and diversions and already trains out of Town hit by the weather . But it’s dry (at the moment ) so going to take a constitutional along the River - well maybe ... |

We drove back from the west to the east coast last night. It was blowing a gale when we left Dumfries and then just stopped and went calm halfway across.
It picked up overnight though although it doesn’t sound to bad now. I’m supposed to be going to a meeting and just wondering if it will be cancelled. |

It certainly is. I’ve just been and rescued a lantern I’d forgotten to take down, a potted tree and the log burner chimney baffle thingy. That was all making a lovely racket and woke me up! I’m supposed to be meeting a friend for a nice, relaxing spa day but I don’t know if driving is wise?
