I'm hoping to get a cheap computer from their on Thursday as they're doing a special.. Also happens to be my birthday that day (yes i'm sad enough to spend my birthday possibly queueing in a shop!)

I bought my computer from them last year and (touching wood ) it's been great. I had a problem installing Paint shop but they were really helpful.

Aldi

I've used Aldi for our main shop for quite a number of years now and we can't fault them at all! The quality of most things we have bought has always been exceptional. Depending on how many you're shopping for, you will probably still have to shop elsewhere for some products as their range isn't massive, but their prices are very competitive.

Their bags of frozen, skinless, boneless chicken breasts are superb - even the chicken kievs are great, too! Proper chicken breast fillets, not that pre-formed chicken mush which normally makes up kievs!?!? We've also yet to find better quality smoked bacon elsewhere - yummy! You will find that a lot of their products get rave reviews in a lot of major magazines.

We've also found that the shop is very clean - a lot cleaner than other major supermarkets... !?!?!

My only gripe is that some weeks they'll stock a particular product which will be fantastic, only to find that when you go back the following week, it's not there and they never stock it again... !?!?!

Think you'll be pleasantly surprised though!

Not going to make myself very popular here... Went to Aldi once and never again. The cheese I bought from there wouldn't blinking well melt under the grill and believe me I tried for ages, I was grilling it because it tasted bland and waxy Thought their steak was a good price, when I put it in the grill pan it fell apart... it was steak shaped sludge... even the band of white fat wasn't proper fat it was moulded together. After that I didn't waste my money. Aldi in Germany IS much much better quality than over here. Lidle we have here and that is good at Christmas time for Stollen, really cheap good quality ones wouldn't get my stollen from anywhere else... just bought a fireproof and waterproof safe for £20 from there... important for those all important hard to replace documents if you have a house fire.
