Magicband+ up now for pre arrival order

When we checked into AKL this week our bands weren’t there, even though I’d had the shipped email a few days before we checked in. We were given a credit to go and buy them from the AKL shop but the bands we ordered weren’t in stock there and the kids were gutted they weren’t personalised. The cast member told me they have had this a few times this week when they go to ship and they are out of stock. I don’t know if some bands are more popular than others? We had the orange bird and grey Mickey ones.

We already had old style (but new) magic bands so decided to spend the money on treats for the kids from the shop instead.

I read this thread 2 days ago, payment had disappeared ( I ordered when they dropped )

today I have had a e/mail to say they have been dispatched, we arrive Wednesday

If you watch the most recent “Latest News” on DisneyFoodBlog they cover late/missing MagicBands at check in which seems to be happening at the moment

So, to be clear, if we order Magic Band 2 to collect on check in, the bands won't be charged up, so we can't start using them immediately?

You mean Magic band plus (2 was the previous one)
You can use for entering your room and the parks / lightning lane but not for the statues etc.. until it’s charged and updated. Only took like 20 minutes in the room

Thanks, was imagining having to wait to charge it instead of hitting the parks asap.
