Sounds completely plausible. Closing at the end of the summer and re-opening just in time for the holidays.

I loved visiting in November as in three trips we never had a headliner closed.

In Fairness they have to close something as they have to do routine maintenance and water rides can be pretty harsh on everything.
They are at least staggering the closures and there is never going to be a time that suits everyone.
They obviously try to have them open for their peak periods, hence after main summer rush and try to have open again for Thanks Giving, Christmas 7 new year.

We arrive late on Saturday 26th. Plans were for Hollywood studios that day but thinking now a trip into Magic Kingdom is going to be necessary as Splash is my favourite ride in magic kingdom

If it is to close hopefully the dates stated are correct from a selfish point of view and we can get to ride it a few times the week before.
