Get up to the US192 then west to US27 and south to Posner - around 13 miles compare to around 10 via the I-4.

Or south on Old Lake Wilson, west through Championsgate and connect with US27 - again around 13 miles

Mick

The simple answer is "yes, of course - lots". Plenty more, apart from Mick's two. To answer the question fully, you need to look at a map. Go to GoogleMaps, mark the start/finish points and it will give a couple of best routes, which you can drag to neighbouring roads for further options. This gives:
1. I-4 (from SR429 to Exit 55) 10.0 miles, 16 min ($0.50 toll at Sinclair slip rd)
2. US192/US27 (Mick 1) 15.4 miles, 30 min
3. OLW/Championsgate/RR/US27 (Mick 2) 11.2 miles, 24 min
4. OLW further down to Exit 58 then I-4 10.2 miles, 19 min
5. I-4 to Exit 58 then RR/US27 11.0 miles, 21 min ($0.50 toll)
6. OLW/Heritage Pass/RR/US27 11.7 miles, 23 min
7. OLW (further)/RR/US27 12.1 miles, 24 min
8. OLW/Pine Tree/Ernest Cauldwell 11.6 miles, 22 min (EC is a VERY quiet road)
9. Funie Steed/US27 13.8 miles, 26 min
10. Funie Steed/N Goodman/Bella Cita 15.3 miles, 28 min (very 'back' route)
Times are 'current' times from Google at 12 noon Sun (local time) - Google has live traffic data, so accurate.

Why do want to miss I-4 as it the shortest and quickest route? You are only on it for 5 miles, and options 4/5 allow you to just do the last 3 or first 2. Even if I-4 is 'normal bad', it wil STILL be quicker - any other routes are just 'psychologically' better. If I-4 is abnormally bad, then the alternatives will be too, as others will be avoiding it.

Which is 'best' depends on what do you want from an alternative, nice scenery, empty road, passing lots of interesting places to stop at, etc? Time taken also depends on day of the week and time of day. My experience is that going south on OLW at 5pm during the week is stop/start at the traffic lights at the bottom - it is a major commuter route - so best avoided then.

Or Down old lake. Wilson on to pine tree trail past Solterra then on to Ernie Cauldwell brings you right in to Posner Park no need to go near I4 or 27
