Question Booking shore excursions

Hi Folks. We are going on our very first cruise in May on Freedom of the Seas. Booked through Virgin Cruises. Been on Royal Caribbeans website to book excursions/ register online but they ask for a reservation number. I've tried all the numbers on my invoice from Virgin but no luck. Does anyone have any ideas where I can find out my res. number?

Hi,

Can't answer your question regarding booking number, but with regard to excursions, we found it far cheaper booking independently of RCL when we went on our first (only! ) cruise last Easter.

I found the Cruise Critic Boards extremely helpful, as they have a Ports of Call board for most cruise areas, which gives extremely useful advice on available excursions and operators.

As an example, we ended up hiring a taxi driver on Cozumel for 4 hours to have a spin around the island and a couple of stops on the way - this cost us about $120 for the three of us. A similar van tour with RCI was around $80 each.

The boards were also invaluable in us finding out so much information prior to embarkation - well worth visiting for your first cruise, and like the dibb, everyone extremely friendly.

i would phone virgin and ask them for it i cannot see any reason why you don't have it

we have a rc cruise booked for end of may and i have mine and have had the reservations for both rooms since paying the deposit and we too booked with a travel agent (mine are all numbers and consist of 7 digits if that helps? and both begin with 873)

once you have it you can log into the rc website and book your excursion and drinks packages etc
