Great prices and I'm very tempted, but coming from the north west with 3 young kids I'm just not sure it'll be worth the hassle for us It's a 4 hour drive and we'd need to factor in extra petrol and a hotel stay plus car parking (would get a taxi to and from Manchester) If the kids were older I'd definitely consider it but I'm holding out for Virgin flights for now.

Top left hand corner this menu opens up. It’s the last option.

It’s got to be enough of a savings to be worth the hassle. My kids are 6&3 and they were fine. Youngest slept in the car both ways, eldest slept on the way back.
We always stay over the night before anyway and take our car to the airport so it’s only the petrol for us, which in my car was £50 there and back!
If I’m lucky I might of got virgin flights for say £2k, £350-400 for the car. So £800 saving, I’ll drive down for that.

That's a great saving, ours was more like £400 (estimating flights being £500pp from Manchester) before we factored in the extra travel, hotel and parking (easily £200 but probably more, family of 5 so not all hotel rooms will accommodate us)

I slept well on the plane and did all the driving and was fine.
However I was fully prepared to book into the bloc. You can get family day rooms there for £57 but only on the day. The double rooms you can book in advance.
I’m going to book the bloc for the night before, small rooms but so easy.
Train for us is pain with car seats/pushchair and bags.
Ooh the day room could be a good option if we don't get much sleep on the plane, thanks

Dithered since yesterday whether to book these cheap BA flights or wait for Virgin prices to drop. Just checked & our dates have gone up by £76 each now. Choice made then ...

I am so gutted about this. I also saw the cheap prices the same night you booked. I had 1 adult and 3 kids LGW -MCO with luggage coming in at under £1000. I so wish I had booked.
Have checked every day since and it has gone up again. Will have to keep an eye on this.

I know a few on this thread we’re looking for parking.

I booked direct with Gatwick for the week in the long stay as we don’t like to leave our keys. £27 for the week 😀 that was using the 10% off code for signing up to offers.
