Kalkan, Turkey - anyone been?
Hello, looking for a holiday in Europe next year and think Kalkan renting a villa in July might be a possibility - has anyone been, rented a villa or have any suggestions? Thanks

We love Turkey, the people are lovely and its beautiful. My only advice would be to compare prices for villa/flights against an all inclusive packaged holiday, as its usually so reasonable and may work out better value? Unless a villa is what you prefer. Most resorts are 5* with a huge choice of places to eat. We have stayed in Bitez, Bodrum, and Belek.

It’s about 15 years since we went to Kalkan but we went 3 years in a row ! ’
Love ,love love it When we went it was a 4 hour transfer but that’s since reduced due to improved roads Funnily enough we were looking at You tube recently and can’t believe how the place has grown We’d go back in a heart beat If you go you MUST visit the beach at Patara .The rooftop restaurants are gorgeous and the food amazing |

Friends of ours go every year hire a massive villa and love it we go in the other direction towards Marmaris and love it, we are here now so although we would love to try Kalkan we don’t want t to leave Marmaris.
Turkey is lovely, people, weather and sea much more bang for your buck as you are not in the Euro x
