I also didn't realise they were beef hot dogs and not pork but I've been there a few times and love them! Loads of choice in terms of toppings and they're super delicious - plus reasonably priced!

If you can't try a beef hot dog before you go, you could always just order 1 hot dog to start and everyone can have a bite before deciding? I actually saw a family doing that when I was there once and it was a thumbs up from everyone, so they ordered some more afterwards.

ETA, I’d eaten them for years before I realised they were beef, they really don’t taste ‘beefy’!

I never thought that dogs were pork, always thought they were always beef.

I actually think Ikea sell the beef ones in the cafe.

To be honest they should taste pretty similar if you think about it. Really it comes down to seasoning/flavouring. The meat shouldnt make to much difference as its basically the extreme leftovers minced up and purified and turned into a sort of Goo before shaped into what you buy (a solidified mush).
