September 2018 was a fantastic extended family holiday for us. Having not visited for two years due to DS2 health problems, we pushed the boat out for our big family trip. Two studios at PVB for 5 nights and 9 nights in a two bed at BCV. It was a brilliant holiday with DS1 and his girlfriend.

We’ve used all our points now so have borrowed for our 16 night in May.

Great view BTW.
I should really just go and sulk in a corner!

It was a great view for the fireworks. My tiny one was too young to watch them in the parks, so it was nice to be able to watch from our room.

My dearest friend who did so much for my parents going out with her family for the first time since 2008 and staying at AKL on our points. They were totally wowed by the resort - their 2008 stay was at Fort Wilderness on cash.

Staying at WLV, one of the few DVC resorts we've never stayed at since owning falling in love with it and adding on points there, first add on since 2003.

Our special DVC 2018 memories are:

Having terrific view of the animals at Jambo House even though we had booked a standard view studio.

A fabulous time at the Grand Floridian - I had been worried that it might be too posh for us and we would feel out of place . Need not have worried it was stunning and we still felt at home.

Lion King - on walking down towards the theatre we were taken aside and brought in for the reserved bench at the elephants and DH having to get up at the start and make the noise of an elephant (I was so relieved it wasn't me ).

Moonlight Magic at Epcot - got picked at the meet and greet with Mrs Incredible and Edna Mode. They had us and the characters pose lots of times as the camera came across and then back again. Afterwards we were interviewed outside for the new DVD for DVC, not expecting them to use our bit but nevertheless it was still a fantastic experience.

Two great trips for us split between four fab resorts.

The probably never to be repeated 5 nights in the Copper Creek Cabin,

followed by 7 nights in a 1 bed at Beach Club for DVC cash discount.

Later in the year we then did BLT - got 16th floor dedicated 2 bed

Followed by a 2 bed at BWV

Used all 2018 and 19 points but it was worth it.

Wow Dr Jumba, you have certainly lived it up in those Deeeeluxe accommodations! You must be rivalling Tom in points.

Nowhere near much to my disappointment, the CC cabin was 2017 banked points plus some one off rented in points. The beach club was dvc cash itinerary (25% off rack rate).

2018 plus 2019’s paid for the BLT and BWV 2 beds. Think I’ve got 4 points left to last till my Aug 2020 allocation of 280 arrives

Going back in 3 weeks and I’ve had to cough up for it. Managed to get an AP rate for GF and HRH though and DVC discount on BWV again.
