I suspect he may be in the wrong but I won't speculate.

Innocent until proved guilty. Plus I have seen some 80+ year old drivers who are far safer and better then some 21year old ones.

But, I do accept there must come a time when your licence is handed back.

I guess the question is was the other car going too fast?

This was just a few miles up the road from me (I only saw it on the news tho), it’s a horrible road, can be quite fast moving. To see his Range Rover rolled on its side gave me shivers, that’s a big car to knock over and he and the others involved were very lucky.

trial by social media would be the only fair trail he’d get if it was a trail by his peers it might be rigged

SUVs are more prone to kicking over in this sort of accident as they are top heavy. Certainly lucky to have escaped any injury.

I am shocked by the tone of this thread.

My grandfather is 92 still lives unaided with my grandmother, baby sits the great grand kids, drives, goes on holiday to Spain twice year.
I am sure there are as many stories about accidents and road deaths with any age driver, I do his insurance each year and it’s the same cost as mine £360 ish (age 37 15+ plus no claims) so clearly that age range 90+ is not considered a high risk or it would be through the roof.

I say people should drive for as long as they are fit to do, whatever age that should be.

Quite right, tearing around the estate in a pimped up Range Rover isn’t just for youngsters you know!

I now see from the news that someone did draw that straw and it was negative. I don't know the layout of the junction at that area and if there is a corner nearby etc. I do think it is unfair to jump to conclusions based on age however.
