Boat from Beach Club to HS

I've a few questions for you experts:
Does the boat to HS stop near the entrance?
Any idea how long it takes from YC/BC and how frequently they go?
What time do you think you realistically need to arrive at HS to rope drop for Slinky Dog or TSMM?
Thanks

Stops closer than the buses and car parking, runs every 20 minutes... depends what time the park opens

When we stayed a bc a couple of years ago we only used the boat once. Not sure how frequent they are but it took about 15 minutes I think as you stop at boardwalk then swan and dolphin too.

We found it was quicker to walk.

The dock is near to the entrance, on the left as you exit the park.

The lines for the boats back were ridiculous when we were there so we always just walked.

Staying there again this year and on our early morning at hs we’ll likely walk as it won’t be too hot. On our later start we’ll take the boat. Hopefully do the reverse coming back and use the boat for the earlier finish if the lines aren’t too bad.

We stayed at BC recently but only went to HS once. we took the boat both ways.

On the way there we waited abut 10 minutes. The boat came from the Boardwalk and picked us up. I can't recall if it stopped at the Swan and Dolphin. We weren't going for rope drop.

We left at the end of Fantasmic and it looked like a fair queue for the boat and I'd probably have walked if I'd thought I knew the way As it was we got on the first boat which arrived within a couple of minutes.

It worked well for us. This was in October.

Its easy to walk to HS/Epcot from any of the hotels between. Swan, Dolphin, Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach.

You can take the boat but its quicker to walk to be honest.

We always used the boats in Aug as it was too hot to walk. Bear in mind, boats won't run in a thunder storm!

Thanks all. It's more the novelty factor of taking the boat for the kids I think. Also, there is a good chance we would be returning mid-afternoon so may be too hot for the walk back. The idea of the walk sounds lovely for me, but kids might moan after a lot of walking in the park!
