What time to arrive at the airport !

Please can you all help settle a debate in our home ?

Were flying from Manchester via Heathrow to Miami this year .

I think we need to check in and do the baggage drop 2 hours before we fly as its only down to Heathrow.

However other parties in the house think its 3 hours

From memory short haul flights are 2 hours and longhaul is 3. I�m sure it says on my BA app though so i shall go and check...

With pilot strikes, Heathrow staff strikes, busiest time of the year so extra long security lines I'm doing the exact same route as you and I�m getting there 4 hours earlier not taking any chances!

As your first flight is shorthall, those are the guidlines you should follow, therefore two hours before departure with check in closing 45 minutes before departure.
