Gutted Phantom Manor is closed when we go in February!

I am so gutted. Going to DLP for the first time ever with my daughter on 4th Feb for 3 nights. We originally had booked for end of Nov 17, but had to move it to Feb because daughter couldn't get time off work so we missed all the xmas atmosphere and decorations we were so looking forward to. I also really, really, really wanted to go on the Phantom Manor ride and then they announce yesterday that it is now closed until September :-(

Harumph *crosses arms and sulks*

Ah no saw this the other day , I don’t blame you being gutted as it’s my favourite ride and I’d be too. Just glad we spent so much time on it last November .
It was really run down though and desperately needs this refurb!
There’s only one thing for it ... you’ll have to go back!😁

Not to be blunt but they announced this refurbishment a long time ago, it's not a surprise or anything.

Now the 25th anniversary is pretty much over, the refurbs need to happen again. Phanton manor really needs a big refurb too. Luckily there's plenty more stuff to enjoy .

Yes we go 6th Feb - Phantom Manor is my mums favourite ride and the Riverboat. However its only the 2nd time she's been so last Feb she missed POTC, HyperSM and Star Tours so she has all those to look forward too. Plus she was going on to my Dad the other night about the "little cars you can drive" - haven't mentioned yet that they will be closed too! However gives us an excuse to go again end of the year.

I think I must have mis-read the closure list on the DLP website because I did make a point of checking before I booked. I thought I saw that it was closed in January but I read it as being open again in February. Obviously got that wrong!

Well, as already said by other dibbers, I suppose I will have to go back again after September (you've twisted my arm :-))

No, I agree with the above. We were going to book in jan but changed it to feb so that we wouldn't miss out on it. So they must have changed it since we booked back in November.

The two rides our Grandson was really looking forward to most are shut for refurb... this and Buzz Lightyear :-( We go in May and I'm gutted that we will miss the Superheroes event by a week and the Star Wars event as well. We are booked for in between the two. Sure it won't ruin it but must admit I'm a bit disheartened.

We go in May as well. Buzz isn’t showing on the official Disney site as closed. I know it’s on the closed attractions on the DIBB, so not sure if it’s changed since that was posted.

Ohhhh it'd be great if it's not... he was most upset at Buzz. I'll not say anything until nearer the time just incase.
