That’s a fair point but how long does it take? I know it’s their job but the insides take me forever. There’s no way I’d do it for £2.50

(I realise I do my own for nothing 😉 )

They start at 10am in the morning and finish... weather permitting at about 3. They do a few streets a day depending on how many houses they do in each street. He has a book that he updates when they did what street so they don't double back on some game leave others out.

My nephew really enjoyed working with him. Only reason he isn't doing it anymore is he found a permanent job in what he graduated in.

I've just bought one of those Karcher window cleaner things... does a good job and no marks left. Fortunately my windows tilt/turn in, so no need for ladders

Our window cleaners use water from their van and use a squeegee type window wiper, one side has the soap and the other takes it off. No streaks. We pay £5.50 every fortnight for 5 windows and a set of patio doors - and am happy to pay that. Just need to find someone to do the insides now

I am absolutely astonished at how little some of you pay for window cleaning! We do have quite a large house but pay £25 every 6 weeks! We are in the South East - I wonder if that makes a difference?

Haven't had a window cleaner for years but guess what after reading this thread a card dropped through the door
He's quoted £25 for 12 windows if done monthly or £30 if 8 weekly
He uses the DI/RO method and payment is by bank transfer or cash
Have booked him for next month to see what it's like
Have just worked out that upstairs windows haven't been cleaned outside for 2 years oops
DH would do them

Ours uses the pole and magic water and I pay about £15 for a 4 bed detached cleaned every other month, neighbour has a different cleaner who uses ladder and pole, not sure how much she pays but think its less. Mine does wipe over the windowsills but dont thin he does as good a job as the ladder cleaner, I do sometimes have dots on the windows, once had to call them and they sent the guy back to redo them as they were really bad. I like having the pole version as no one is looking into my up stairs windows.

The window cleaner cleaned my windows for the first time today. He used the pole and hose method using water from his van.
I was very impressed windows have dried very nicely. There were water splashes left on them which dried to nothing. Very polite man with ? Partner/ wife very polite . He cleaned all of the window sills as well as glass panels in porch door and bullion glass in stable door.
All told he cleaned 15 windows and sills which included 2 large bay windows and 3 velux roof windows for £25. Upstairs windows haven't been cleaned for at least 3 years and velux ones never by a window cleaner as our old one with the ladder couldn't reach them. They were here for ages and were grateful for a cup of tea.
Payment by cash, cheque or bank transfer. If you are out when they visit they leave an addressed envelope with a card with bank details and an invoice in
I have booked them again for 4 weeks
They only downside is how many smears Ican see on the inside of the windows
