I go up to bed at 10, watch TV until half past or 11 latest, then lights out until 7am. I rarely get up in the night for the loo, usually if I am disturbed its DH snoring!

I am still up,and buzzing after a wonderful joint birthday celebration with my dear friend and 2 other friends who gave us a wonderful 4 course meal, with Prosecco and wine. And arranged transport so didn't have to drive home.
A truly wonderful evening having spent my week trying my best to advise people who are in dire straights.
I am emotionally drained trying to help with benefit claims and debt advice so this helped enormously to keep things in perspective.
Thankfully tomorrow I have a day off, so can recharge ready for the onslaught that will surely come at the end of this month.
Stay safe everyone and remember there are people out there willing to try and help.

Happy belated birthday, and sadly I would imagine you guys are extra busy with people having financial issues at this terrible time.

Since moving to Spain the timing of going to bed has been a bone of contention. In the U.K. and due to working, bedtime was usually 10pm... otherwise I might melt After we moved here, we started to get invites to dinner in the village by locals , what time.. I would ask, waiting for the usual brit answer 7.30 for 8 ... oh no... 8pm arrivals and dinner at 10/11pm... seven years later we still find that adjustment hard, as it’s so late to eat. We have however embraced the siesta culture and take to our beds between 2-4 every afternoon sheer indulgence...

As an aside the one thing we have also had to adapt to is restaurant times etc. For instance today we are going to Badajoz shopping.. they’ve got a primark and I like a bit of luxury . It’s an hour and a half away. There will not be places open to eat all day. Lunch will be 1330-1600 then restaurant will not open until 9pm which is normal outside of touristy costas. There’s no grabbing a quick sandwich here between opening times... anyway sorry. MH way off your topic

If I had to leave at 7.30, I’d get up at 7.15 if it wasn’t for the dog

One of the great joys of being retired, we say frequently how did we ever get up in time to go to work 😂😂😂

I’ve 22 more weekend shifts requiring a 6:30am alarm before I retire... not that I’m counting...
