I'm looking forward to seeing who Johnny Peacock gets paired with, I think he's a great athlete and comes across as a lovely bloke on The Last Leg.

We love Strictly but I don't feel this year's line up is as strong as previous ones. Quite a few we haven't heard of, 3 soap stars 4 if you include Holby, and a few minor celebs too. Aston Merrygold has so much dancing experience, he must be the clear favourite.

Latin and ballroom Dancing are so very different from any of the experience any of them will have had, so we'll have to see! Debbie McGee was a dancer and Brian Conley also has west end show experience.

Every year I say I'm not going to watch, every year I get sucked in.
I don't usually watch the first month as the dancing is dire.
I wouldn't mind watching Brian Conley and Johnny Peacock.

If I don't watch the show I always liked reading the recap on Digital Spy Forum by Monkseal. He's got a blog going with his posts so it will be easy to catch up.

Launch show on 9th September
Can't wait for this to start, bring on the glitter and sparkles Even though I don't know half of them, which is the same every year, I still love it & the first show will be extra special as they are doing a special tribute to Sir Brucie

Fab, I'll see the launch then see the rest after our holiday - will miss the first few weeks or are they having a break after the launch?

I feel the same, but hoping I'll get more 'into' it when it starts. Sometimes the personalities of those we don't really know can make it interesting.

They normally have a break of a few weeks after the launch show, so you should be ok.

I'm really not inspired by this year's line up, at all. Although if we can get rid of Alexandra Berk and "the lovely" Debbie McGee quite quickly, it'll improve immensely.
