Mobile Disney can't find my travel republic booking!

Just checked in to the Cheyenne for our throw away night before we move to the SQL.

Booked, and paid in May but Disney couldn't find the booking, spent half an hour stood there trying not to cry while they looked. Had to pay out 280 euros to get a room for the night. We've been travelling all day so couldn't face walking somewhere else that might have been cheaper.

Gutted, thought travel republic were a reputable company?

It's going to put a dampener on the whole holiday

travelrepublic are a reputable company, I've never had any problems booking hotels through them. I'm sure when you get home and chase it up you'll get it sorted out. Not what you want or need when you've been travelling all day, but its done now, onwards and upwards. I really hope the rest of your trip is super-magical to make up for today.

Let's just hope they sort it out ok when I get home, not much of a throwaway night for £400!

Oh no. We're booked with them for the night too before we move to SL. Did you not have a ref number or voucher? No way would I be paying 280 euro when it's supposed to be £74 for the room only. Hope you get it sorted.

I have to admit I'm still "old school" and I print everything off to check in with, no matter which hotel/country it is.

I had everything printed with me; the voucher, reference number and email. Also showed the email on my phone. Disney could not find the reservation anywhere.

I'm sure it's a one off but I'll let you know what happens if and when I get hold of Travel Republic.

We had trouble with a Travel Republic booking a few years ago. We had booked Dream Castle at DLP, had all the vouchers, but they had no record of our booking. Luckily after 20 minutes of phone calls the hotel had sorted it all out for us.

I generally always book directly with the hotels now, although we sometimes do BA/hotel packages, I always email a week before arrival to confirm my booking though.

Oh no! On the positive side, I'm sure Travel Republic are a reputable company, so you should be able to get your money back when you get home. It might be worth getting something in writing from the Cheyenne if you haven't already, e.g. a receipt with a note explaining that there is no record of booking number -------- That way, they can see that you had no choice but to pay again, and that the booking they should have made for you didn't show up on the system.

We have used them loads without issue so hopefully this is a one off. We just got back from Orlando and had 3 hotels booked with them all with no problems.

Hope you get it sorted and get a refund.
