Where and when - what'd you think?
Less than a month to go and I think we've finally settled on what we're doing and where we are going!
Using the great DIBB I have put the following together and wondered what more experienced travelers thought. This is our first time to Orlando. We are staying at Universal (not Disney). Date: 5th October - Park: Islands of Adventure - Event: Halloween Horror Nights @ Universal 6:30pm Date: 6th October - Park: Universal - Event: Halloween Horror Nights @ Universal 6:30pm Date: 7th October - Park: Epcot - Event: Food Festival @ Epcot Date: 8th October - Park: Discovery Cove Date: 9th October - Park: Bush Gardens Date: 10th October - Park: Magic Kingdom - Event: CDS @ Disney Springs 9pm Date: 11th October - Park: Aquatica Date: 12th October - Park: Islands of Adventure - Event: BMG @ Universal 8pm Date: 13th October - Park: Epcot / Hollywood Studios Date: 14th October - Park: Florida Mall Date: 15th October - Park: Universal Date: 16th October - Park: Animal Kingdom - Event: Rivers of Light 7:45pm Date: 17th October - Park: Volcano Bay It's time to also book fast passes but have no idea what we want to go on. Any suggestions? We are open to everything! Only adults going on this trip |

looks good
Fast pass Epcot - Soarin, test track. AK - Navi, FOP MK - 7DMT, Splash,BTM,Space HS - TS, TOT I would research the rides because in HS/Epcot/AK you will have to choose which Tier one to go on. Edited at 09:08 PM. |

I feel tired just looking at that itinerary - it's very busy! If I were staying at Universal (which I did for 12 nights in 2015) it was because I wanted to spend lots of time at the Universal parks, whereas you are not planning to spend many days there? I think I would cut out all or at least a couple of the non Disney / Universal days and then allocate those days to more Disney or Universal. I also note you make two trips to Epcot but only one to MK, I would flip that.
For FP at MK I would focus on the mountains, 7DMT Space, Big Thunder, Splash, 7DMT will be the hardest to get and the one you will be least likely to get on the day. For Epcot I would FP Soarin' and do single rider for Test Track as you cannot FP both. For your Epcot / HS day I would FP the HS rides, Aerosmith, Tower of Terror and something else. At AK I would FP the Avatar FOP ride and Expedition Everest. |
