Good footware for august wet weather
Hi all
First time in august and understand about the thundery weather. In October (last 2 visits) we've had 2 weeks of no rain at all so just wore trainers. What are good comfy shoes but and suitable to get wet through and dry of again over night. Thanks all.

Wellies...
... only joking . Just wear what you would normally. We all go in trainers and never had a issue really in August. I take 2 pairs anyway so if they did get soaked they could have an extra day to dry out. If it does rain you'll likely try to keep yourself as dry as possible, rather than running through puddles, so shouldn't be too bad . If it was horrendous rain for several days and trainers were not drying out I'd just switch to flip-flops (or buy more in the outlets ). |

We were the same. Took 2 pairs of trainers each, had lots of downpours and never had a problem with them still being wet.

Controversial option...Crocs!
Not for the fashion conscious, but super comfy and they dry basically straight away. I wouldn't wear anything else. (PS if you're embarrassed about Croc wearing, just make sure all photographs taken don't include your feet! No one will ever know ) |

I love crocs. Tried flip flops but my feet slipped around in them and started rumming

Flip flops here too.
We went in august this year and I was stressing over whether I should just wear flip flops as normal or get something else but I'm very glad I stuck with them, would have been way to hot for anything else and they dry so quickly!
