My boy’s coming back from Canada!
On Jan 2nd for 10 nights, he misses his mumma. His girlfriend messaged me and said she wants to book flights because he’s homesick. His birthday is on the 1st Jan and he’s 29, they can’t travel over Christmas because of the price and they are both working. I actually think he misses the dog more than me, he’s been gone 6 weeks and he’s arranging to come visit. I miss my lovely boy

Not exactly in a hurry to come back if it's not until January 2020😂

I don’t care, I will have all their Christmas and his birthday presents wrapped and cook them a turkey roast lunch. Knowing I’m seeing him again is good enough!

That's lovely. Am sure he misses his mum as much as the dog. Perhaps he will take you for a nice long walk !
Edited to say how nice of the GF. Is it a surprise for your DS? Sounds like it might be... Edited at 11:22 AM. |

It's the worse thing about relocating to another country, homesickness.
You'll have to start saving and go and see them, too. |

Moving to a new country it'd be mad to visit home after only six weeks. His GF probably realises that if he's still homesick, Christmas will make it worse and knowing he will be visiting soon after will help (and there's cheap fares then)

Well she booked the tickets and then told him, it’s his birthday present. I suppose she thought he might settle better if he knows he’s coming back for a visit. He also has loads of friends here and none in Canada, x

Apparently he said they might get married next year if everything goes well, but they aren’t engaged yet. Maybe they are coming back to tell us this as well. Need to start saving for next year after this years holiday, either Toronto and New York or Florida. Dd is banging on about Florida for her 18th, she might have to go to New York instead, I’m sure she will cope!
