I don't really believe in what is right / wrong as we all have different tastes and different experiences. But to your list, my personal thoughts on the dos:
- never been to Jiko's but it has always been on my list, last time I looked at the menu it didn't appeal as much as I remember it did. - had probably the worst fine dining experience ever at Flying Fish this year, as described here Others see reasonable, Sanaa is not signature but it does look very nice. On your avoids: - agree Spirit of Ohana and Mickeys BBQ are not for us as an adult party. - never seen anyone say avoid the Yachtsman! I would have thought it one of the best restaurants onsite, we went two nights running in February (also in my report) - Artist Point is Storybook Dining now, no longer a signature, have you tried it in its current format? It is one of the hardest to get ADRs at the moment. - not been to Wolfgang Puck or Le Cellier but I would have expected WP to be good and Le Cellier seems to split the crowd. |

Interested why you are avoiding Yachtsman - our experience is that it is amazing, and that is supported by loads of positive reviews on here.

Thanks all...i’ll recheck my list...obviously got mixed up on my Signatures!
Agree with Claudette...it is down to personal likes. I tend to look on youtube at reviews and make my mind up based on whether it looks good and menu looks interesting... rather than the specific opinions if the reviewer. The yachtsman decision would have been based on a DIS or Tim Tracker experience. I’ll rethink that one now! |

As you have HRH in your countdown, I would add The Palm there to the list.

We've eaten at Yachtman a few times and think it's pretty ordinary. Had better steak at Flying Fish and Narocoosees and there's more sense of occasion at those.
As an older couple we used to like Artist Point as it was a bit of a haven, but boring for kids. With 3 liitle kids in our party this year we just ate at Storybook. DW booked it and when I saw the cost I was surprised it was only 1TS. Pretty good meal (kids got prime rib and loved them) and nice (lively) atmosphere but it was very slow - I don't want to be rushed but it became ridiculous to the extent that, unprompted, the proprietor came out and apologised to us. We were on the "Queens table" though, so perhaps we were a bit obvious. Le Cellier was great when it was 1TS but again it doesn't have the sense of occasion to be 2TS. It was always been very cramped and very rushed when we've eaten there (not been for a few years). Plus it's thing is the cheese soup and you've got to pay extra for that on the standard DDP. Monsieur Paul in Epcot. Great menu, servers and view. A hidden gem.
