HELP! 1 stop flight novice for Christmas - how long is ok? man-lon-mco man-phl-mco

Hi all,

Still not booked my Christmas flights and my anxiety is getting worse

Anyhow last year we went boxing day and booked with virgin using airmiles in september, I had resigned myself last year to not going but then I found these ideal flights,

Anyhow back to this year, I am wanting to travel preferably 23rd December but need to be back for the 5th.

Flying from manchester 2 adults 1 teen and have never flown with a stop anywhere since going to orlando in 2004

So my question is i have found flights with ba man-lon-mco so meaning a transfer from one london airport to the other - how long is an acceptable transfer time between the two airports? (I would prefer a longer transfer than shorter so i am not panicking)

The other flight i have found is via phl - however looking at this will we be delayed because of the weather in phl?

I would also be willing to fly to tampa!

My ideal would have been via dub but it is really expensive

I have also considered flying down 22nd and staying over however we are due to watch the grinch in manchester and for some reason this year i have booked it for the evening show so preferably didnt want to cancel this if possible.

Any help and advise for a 1 stop novice welcome

ps pref wanting flights at approx £2k

thanks
Stacey

Quite a few people on here do the LHR-LGW shuffle, I'd want 4 hours minimum, but overnight would be better if affordable.

I've done the PHL route and never had an issue, though admittedly not in winter. That would be my choice.

thanks - i would go for the earliest man-lon flight to give the maximum time, i have looked at just booking lon-mco but for some reason it works out more expensive then man-lon-mco?

thanks
