Weather in May
We have been to Orlando many times and apart from October / November 3 years ago we have always been in April and the weather has always been great, the occasional shower but not enough to spoil anything. It is our 25th anniversary mid May (2021) but trying to get a feel if the weather changes much in May, I have heard it is a bit more rainy?

This year we went the first 2 weeks in May. Mostly sunny like April. We had heavy rain twice in the afternoon and a few nighttime storms. The year before it pretty much rained all of May but I think that was unusual. Usually just short periods of bad weather in the afternoons.
If your dates are flexible we try to avoid Memorial weekend at the end of May. It gets really busy compared with the beginning of the month. |

We've been a few times in May but more often April going into mid-May.
This statistical site is very detailed and naturally it's only based on historical averages but it does show rainfall increasing exponentially towards the end of May. weatherspark/m/17721/5/A...-United-States During the times that we've been later in May we certainly found the weather becoming more summery - wetter in the afternoons Mick

We went for the first 2 weeks of May in 2014 and the weather couldn't have been better. Was hot and sunny every day, we had rain for a few hrs one afternoon but that was it. Loved it, just didnt like the love bugs!

We went for the last week of May/first week of June 2014 and the weather was really good. Only a couple of heavy showers that I can remember. Certainly nicer than when we went in August in 2010

We went in May in 2016 and had a glorious 2 weeks with one afternoon of rain, went May last year and it rained a lot! My parents got chatting to some locals who said that much rain in May was extremely unusual.
It’s not put us off and we’ve got our villa booked for May 2020 |

We went May 2015 and saw no rain. May 2016 had 2 days of constant rain.
Booked again for next May and hoping for a repeat of 2015! |

We’ve had a few trips in May, usually the early part, and we’ve had lovely weather. Warm with minimal rain. We also love the Flower and Garden Festival too.

We’ve been end of May / start of June for the last 3 years. This year the weather was amazing, sunny every day and no rain. Last two years before it was rainy and cloudy for about half of the holiday which I’m told is unusual.

We were out there this May for the middle 2 weeks, other than the day we arrived and one morning at Seaworld, it was as dry as bone and hot, but not too hot that it was unmanageable, hottest day was at Discovery Cove, when the mercury hit 105.
