We booked

Heathrow to Miami
Car hire for 1 day - Tahoe or similar
Car hire for 16 days - Tahoe or similar
Tampa to Gatwick
2 adults and 2 teens 17/8 - 05/09 and paid £3028. Those same flights are now over £6k! I’m so glad we booked when we did, £750pp in summer for flights and car and is actually cheaper than what we paid when we last went in august time (2018). Can you book in 2 x 5?.

Still waiting go book our 1-22 August 2022 flights. Originally booked for 2020 and got refunds for that trip which would have been our first family Orlando holiday.

Prices really high at the moment so hoping will settle soon!

I booked my July 22 flights on the day they were released -

EDI - LHR - MCO 1st - 17th July
4 Adults, 1 Teen
Premium Econ
Group Z (Large) SUV with Avis

Total came to £7884, but had a deposit voucher from our previously cancelled 2021 trip so it brought it down to £7448

I just did some searching there, and the same trip is now... £12500...

Really glad I didn't wait.

We have accomodation booked in August 22 but no flights. I'm waiitng until the borders actually open in the hopes prices settle a bit for next year. Possibly a fruitless hope but we've been waiting for 18 months.

We booked as soon as we saw decent prices. We actually got Business Class at £1350. As soon as we booked they went up to £7000.
There are some good deals out there if you can be very flexible.

We have other trips planned and will likely book a soon as flights are released if prices are ok.

I think at the minute if you see a price even close to what you want - book it. Things seem so crazy at the minute and may take a while to settle. Car hire is the same.

Finally booked, after spending what seems like every waking hour for the last week looking.

18 nights end of August with BA
Direct flights into Miami
Car hire from the next morning for a day to get up to Orlando with drop off at Hard Rock (ahead of a day in Universal).
17 nights in 3 bed townhouse at Regal Oaks (picked as won’t need to rely on a car, if we decide not to hire, with it being at Old Town and on the Lynx route to Disney Transport Hub)
Indirect back from Tampa.
More than I’d hoped to pay at £4700 but i’ve seen several flights fill up and increase in price over the last few days so just went for it.
Just got to book hotel in Miami for the first night and decide how we’re getting to Tampa at the end if the holiday (probably car hire or Uber) but not panicking about that now.

Time to relax and start the fun part of the planning!

I booked our flights today with BA. My usual budget for two adults and two teens is £2500, got them for a little over £3000 which is the most I’ve ever paid, but it was also the cheapest I’ve seen for our dates.
