Mason has confirmed side B thanks. It's the side we always go to as we always land at monorail 4 and never do the second bag drop - courtesy baggage transfer as they call it.

MY DH thought that it would be B but didn't want to give misleading info if he was wrong.
2nd bag drop wait is a pain in the proverbial more like Unfortunately, we take 2 large cases & a wheeled bag each and just can't manage the escalator with them so we have to let them go to 2nd bag drop. Years ago, everyone's cases went on the 2nd bag drop and we didn't wait anywher near the time it takes now.

Recent massive thread on the bag drop and I always say don't do it unless you can do it safely. We have a 4 wheeled suitcase each which stands on the escalator tread above us. One cabin bag which hooks safely over the extended case handle.

Unfortunately, we cannot lift heavy cases and so we split our stuff into 4x4 wheeled cases and use a trolley or porter depending on who/what is available. We arrive into MCO from Chicago this time so no 2nd bag drop for us this time

Does anyone know what Avis "hold" on a debit or credit card, or is it just literally a swipe?

Just a swipe as far as I am aware. We usually pay upfront for fuel and when I have just looked at my statement, the payment didn't go through to my account until we'd handed the car back on leaving.
