Dining Packages DL

Can anyone recommend a good dinner packages for the various shows at DL, DCA? We will be three adults. We’re not big dessert fans so probably won’t want to do a dessert party.

The dining packages have changed since the before times.

Disneyland
Fireworks - Tomorrowland Terrace
You can book to sit in the upper level of the building where Star Wars Launch Bay was. Its a snack meal with a drink.
You get a restricted high level view of fireworks.
Fireworks may be cancelled last minute, so you could be there for an hour, eat your food and then not see the show.

Main Street Electric Parade
You book a meal at Plaza Restaurant, get a lanyard and get access to a viewing area. The viewing area is opposite the Main Street Train Station, with your back to The Castle. I did this a few years ago. You still end up waiting about an hour in the viewing section if you want to sit on the curb. The viewing area is less crowded than the rest of the parade route. I wouldn't do this again as you can get just a good viewing spot without the upcharge of the dining package.

Fantasmic
Fantasmic is due to return on May 28
The regular viewing sections are along the water.
The old Fastpass section will now be a virtual queue
  1. Blue Bayou is currently closed and there is no information about dining packages.
  2. Riverbelle Terrace
There are 2 options. Fantasmic Dining Packages are a prix fix menu, not the regualar menu.
    • Premium Seating at the restaurant for the first show. You book a meal on the elevated restaurant terrace and watch the show from your table. Restricted viewing as you are a distance from the water and you are watching the show over peoples heads/ people walking past.
    • You can book a regular meal at Riverbelle Terrace during the day and on the day when you check in , upgrade to Fantasmic Dining Package. As Fantasmic has not returned yet, there is no information about availability. It is very likely that Fantasmic availably may be gone by the time of your reservation and you might not get the upgrade and access to the viewing area.
  3. Hungry Bear On The Go
You book a time to collect your food from Hungry Bear restaurant. When you collect your food you will get a ticket to the Fantasmic viewing section.

California Adventures
World of Color
The old Fastpass section is now a virtual queue. It opens about 11am I think and is very hard hard to get.
  • Desert Party Dining Package
Sit at either a high table or a low table during the show. You get a cheese plate, cakes and pastries and a drink.
  • Wine Country Trattoria and StoreyTellers Dining Packages
You can book a regular meal at either restaurant during the day and on the day when you check in , upgrade to World of Color Dining Package. There have been issues with people not being able to get the upgrade and access to the viewing area due to availability on the day.
