In a perfect world for me, BT Sport would never have started. All it's done is caused me to pay two different subscriptions to watch what I happily watched before for free (MotoGP) or on Sky.
The point is I would be 'paying for what I don't get' - that's why I want to stop paying for it.

I find it incredible BT use the same staff to deal with faulty infrastructure and their TV services. The concept I shouldn't contact them because they are concentrating on looking after their elderly and vulnerable customers is unbelievable.

It's great that BT now have a procedure available online but they have ridiculously overcomplicated it.
Instead of a simple click as Sky have set up, BT are asking if you would like to donate to charity, take out a new 24 month contract, or fill out a form for one month credit.
BT complicate this further by stating if you have already contacted them for a credit (which I have for March) do not fill in the form.

"We can only give one credit per account, so please don't fill in this form if you've already made a claim by phone or asked us to donate your credit to the NHS Charities Together appeal."

I want a credit for April so I filled in the form anyway.

To make it even more annoying BT say don't contact us about future months as they will contact us. What they should do is stop taking the payment until the sport returns, and make that clear, like Sky.

It's a mess.

(VampireSS88 It's great you are helping and my rant isn't aimed at you. )

I realise it's only £10 EACH month but I would rather keep it than pay it to BT for nothing.

Didn’t realise it was so complicated, Also I pay £22 per month and some pay £30 so not insignificant in today’s climate. I too find it silly that I have Sky AND BT as some sports don’t appear on one or the other. At least there is an option moving forward but not perfect.

Thanks I've completed the form. We currently only have BT sport with BT and pay £15.99 a month.

To be fair they may not use the same staff currently.
As an example my job usually crosses a variety of products and services. Currently I’ve had my status changed so almost all I deal with is phone and broadband technical, it’s entirely possible BT have gone a similar route before they’ve set up an online solution for BT Sports

Just received an update from BT Sports regarding the months credit. They will be applying this for 2 months now and will extend if necessary so no need to reapply 👍

The concept I shouldn't contact them because they are concentrating on looking after their elderly and vulnerable customers is unbelievable.

That bit will be to do with how many people are there to take the call. If everyone is dealing with sports which they will redirect to Bt website anyway then they are leaving vulnerable customers waiting. The problem Bt have over the likes of other companies is that they have to support the vulnerable to get connected. Other companies do not have to do that at all-only if they chose to

I’m glad you’ve sorted it.
It’s for two months currently and mine says that it will be reapplied if sports still not on without needing to fill it out again.

Also the reason there are two companies is for competition. You need these so that one doesn’t have a monopoly.
Now that Bt have all the sky channels you can go to them if you wanted. £60 for top package. £40 for all sports. Dunno which one we are going to get yet but I wouldn’t go back to sky. Hubby might.

We too have BT Sports but through Plusnet. I wonder how we can cancel that. Anyone any ideas please? I have looked at the Plusnet website as I should be able to do it there. But I still cannot find anything.
