I work in retail I worked today , if I didn’t have to work it ,they would be no way I would go shopping on Boxing Day , if you can’t shop for two days it’s a sad state of affairs , and before I get slated for saying this that I work in retail it’s to be expected, I have been in retail over 30 years we used to manage then it’s pure greed

Popped into town early. Roads were surprisingly quiet. Bought a new pair of DMs (>50% off), went to Lush which opened later but the queue was still down the street. Had a quick coffee and doughnut in Tim Hortons then braved Lush for a couple of half price gift sets. Was very busy when we left at lunchtime.

I shop on Boxing day because I'm off work and that's when (most of) the sales start
If either weren't true then I wouldn't - I don't celebrate Christmas any more. I've worked in retail and had no issues working on 26th. I've also worked Christmas Day in another life.

I popped in because I still had a Christmas present to buy for someone I was seeing on Boxing Day. Got a couple of things for myself too. I have to say, I was very disappointed in the Next sale.

I'm disappointed in Next generally. I've just looked at their new workwear stuff and its all crap - all trendy slim legs etc. - I just want smart, professional workwear.

I brought a handbag in the Smythson sale, which arrived today and is beautiful. I was also very lucky and hubbie brought me a Mulberry Bayswater satchel that I had wanted for ages from the Mulberry sale.
