I think I must be the only person to find the Costco cakes have a hideous fake sweet taste

Not the only one...the only Costco cake we had was not good. I don't think I would ever risk one again.

I've always fancied an ice cream birthday cake They make them in Janetta's in St Andrews (best ice cream shop ever) but it's over an hour from us so I've never managed but they're about to open a shop in Dundee, so I may get my wish this year

Shop bought, M & S or Sainsburys. Never been to a Costco.

We were surprised by how really moist and zingy Waitrose's lemon cake was. This one: -

waitrose/ecom/produc...-497798-497799

It was small, but I'd definitely get it again.

And there's always Colin from M&S!

I’ve had expensive cakes that have been dry and tasteless but Costco cakes are always a winner for me.

Costco - love their chocolate cake or carrot cake (this is not from the “feed a crowd, get it personalised” range but what you’ll find amongst the other bakery stuff. ) Moist, tasty and you cannot beat that price for what you get.
