I thought it was common knowledge too, but reading the replies on here, it doesn’t seem to be the case.

I too love regional accents 😊

Over 25 years ago, in Shoney's at Naples, SW Fl, at their amazing breakfast buffet, bloke two foot away from me says, 'da man, they've got nee apple', without looking I said, 'wey bonny lad try the banana, it's champion', of course out come the 'ehhh where yea from like' et al., and we end up around one table with this large family being loud and having a good time, boy did we baffle the Americans esp as the family matriach was Italian! Turned out they were our local ice cream company, 3 mile away from us, who knew my sister and her hubby! Small world.

Born and bred in Suffolk. Not sure about the accent though.

Definitely not a country bumpkin accent. Actually I don't know what accent I have, sounds daft I know. Posh bumpkin maybe🥴🥴

On many occasions in the US I have been asked where in Australia I come from!

I think mine is RP, with maybe a bit of Essex/ London now and again.

Although in USA some thought I might be an Aussie.
