BCV or BWV - which is best?

So we are in the lovely position to be looking for a small dvc contract and have chosen the Crescent lake as our ideal location for this. I really want BCV due to the location, theme of resort, and SAB, however we are finding it hard to find the size of contract we would like. Occasionally we find something close to our 'ideal' at BWV but I am reluctant to give up on our BCV dream. Are we better to just go with BWV and enjoy the slightly lower price point? or do you think BCV are worth waiting for? I know lots of people on here love BW so I am wondering if there are some advantages to BW that we have not yet considered?

We own at BCV and love it. Have stayed at BWV once and although it is nice I really didn't feel the love as much☹️

Both are great BC gets it for the pool but BW gets it for atmosphere at night.

Our first DVC stay was at BC and I was so disappointed, room very tired with things broken/damaged (potentially now been refurbished) and no view just trees so room very dark (I love a view)

We have also stayed at BWV and preferred the room and view (maybe lucky as lovely view) we didn't use the pool so can’t compare.

We own at the Boardwalk and love it. At the beach club the dvc units are in a separate block, whereas at the Bwv they are in the main building and you can have a view of the lake or canal.

We love the BWV atmosphere. Great location. Low points for standard view.

However, if your heart is set on Beach Club then don’t buy something that will disappoint or frustrate you.

The point value is something I hadn't considered comparing - thanks for mentioning this. You have really understood my challenge with this decision and I know that there isn't really a bad choice here, it is just a big spend so I want to really feel I made the right call.

I love both resorts but the views annoy me at BCV. I can save points at BWV (where we own) by booking standard but choose not to as a like a view and am prepared to spend a few extra points. BC everyone pays the same but some people get a stunning pool view and some get stuck with really dark forest from the balcony.

Yes totally agree. We had a “dark forest” 😊

We’ve only stayed at BCV once snd also had a poor view.

Even the standard views at BwV are pretty good. I’ll find some photos.

We also love BWV our home for the last 20 years. We have never had an issue getting a room at 11months out which is a bonus. Re location they are basically both great you just need to go with what you think you will like I suppose. Always buy where you want to stay -that’s what we were told -so we did 😊
